Robert P. Finley CFA, CFP®


Robert Finley is a CFA® charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner certificant with 15 years of experience. Robert most recently managed over $375 million in assets for high net worth individuals as a Senior Portfolio Manager in Chicago. Robert has been featured in Barron's, USA Today, US News, MarketWatch, NerdWallet and Fund Intelligence.

Robert grew up in Glenview, Illinois and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance major. He started his career in Wealth Management at LaSalle Bank, managing money and creating financial plans for high net worth individuals, business owners, foundations and endowments. In 2007, LaSalle Bank was purchased by Bank of America and the Wealth Management department was integrated with U.S. Trust. In April 2013, Robert stayed in Chicago and moved to TIAA-CREF's Trust department as a Senior Portfolio Manager.

He launched Virtue Asset Management, a fee-only independent asset management company that acts as a fiduciary, in 2016. Virtue Asset Management is a multi-family office that focuses on high net worth families. As a fee-only financial advisor the family office will not accept any referral fees or compensation contingent upon the purchase or sale of a financial product while providing investment and financial planning advice. Virtue Asset Management has offices in Barrington and Chicago, Illinois.

In addition to his professional certifications, Robert is also a member of American Mensa, the Financial Planning Association and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He lives in Barrington, Illinois with his wife and two children.
